Godorf, a district of the city of Cologne, situated on the left side of river Rhine, was already first time metioned in a document from 1173 as Gudegedorn. Godorf’s landmark is the mill, that was built in 1849 on the “Heldenberg” (which means heroes’ mountain). In 1975 Godorf was incorporated by close-by Rodenkirchen.
Godorf of today is a small village in the middle among the dominating petrochemical industrial facilities. Its own harbour, an expanded business park in the north and the highway on the western side represent the borders of it.
